We Asked. God Answered.

May 3, 2026    Rev. Isaac Smith

This morning’s message dives into James 5:13–16 and the powerful call to pray for one another in community. We are reminded that God often chooses to move not just through individual faith, but through the collective faith of His people.

In a world that values independence and efficiency, this passage invites us into something different and deeper. God designed us to need each other. Through real stories of healing and honest moments of faith, we see what happens when people step forward, ask for prayer, and trust God even when their faith feels small.

We also wrestle with a hard but important truth. God does not always heal in the way or timing we expect. Like Paul’s “thorn in the flesh,” some struggles remain, but not without purpose. Even in those moments, God is at work shaping us, strengthening us, and drawing us closer to Him.

The invitation is simple but challenging. Be willing to be known, step out in faith, and trust that God works powerfully through imperfect people. The prayer of a righteous person is powerful and effective, and that includes you.
