One Degree Matters
What if the greatest threat to your spiritual journey isn't a dramatic fall, but a single degree of drift?
A pilot can be only one degree off course and still appear to be headed in the right direction. But over time, that small deviation can lead miles away from the intended destination. The same can happen in our relationship with God. Small shifts in our thinking, priorities, and daily choices can quietly change the trajectory of our lives.
Looking back to Genesis and the creation story, we are reminded that God gave us purpose from the very beginning. We were made for relationship with one another, stewardship of God's creation, and most importantly, relationship with God.
When we understand where we came from and where we are going, we can better recognize when we have started to drift.
The question isn't simply, โAm I far from God?โ It may be more helpful to ask, โAm I still headed in the right direction?โ
This message invites us to examine the trajectory of our lives, remember God's original purposes for us, and discover how knowing our origin and destination helps us find our way back when we drift.
